Empower-her

You can't be beside her for all of it anymore.

Trains, walking to the car. Out with friends, finding her independence — exactly as she should be. You taught her plenty.

But you can't teach her this.

"She'll be fine" isn't a plan.

Just run

It's the advice every parent gives. And it's not wrong — getting away is always the goal.

But what if she can't? In a lift. A stairwell. Backed against a car.

"Just run" leaves her with nothing for exactly those moments. It's not about fighting. It's about not being stuck.

A real course, not a one-off

Empower-Her is a six-week women's self-defence course in Osborne Park, one evening a week. It's built on leverage and timing — techniques that work because of how you move, not how strong you are.

It's structured to build. Each week adds to the last, so the skills layer up and become hers by the end — not something she saw once and forgot. It starts with the fundamentals and works up, so everyone begins at the same place. No experience needed. No fitness required.

Small group, all women, taught at a pace that suits the people in the room. The technique is adapted to her — her body, her starting point — not the other way around.

Six weeks · one evening a week · small group · all beginners · Osborne Park

Taught by father and daughter

The course is led by B'Elanna, with her father Andre assisting. Both train every week themselves — not weekend instructors brought in for a women's class.

A small group, so she gets the attention that's right for her. And the technique is adapted to her — her body, her starting point — not the other way around.

The best thing you can do is let her decide.

A course she's been pushed into is one she'll sit through. A course she chose is one she'll show up for — and carry with her long after it ends. So we don't ask you to sign her up. We ask you to put it in front of her, and let her make it her own. That's the whole idea behind Empower-Her: for women who'd rather know than hope. Maybe she's one of them.

Send her the page. Let her take it from there. Everything she needs to decide is on her page — what the course covers week by week, what it costs, what to expect. Written for her, so she can read it in her own time and choose for herself.
